On March 5, 2018 the Gulfport Police Department arrested 28 year old Daniel Duarte Mendoza of Gulfport charging him with one count of Aggravated DUI.

The arrest was the result of a patrol response on March 5, 2018 at 7:04 pm to a vehicle crash at 28th Street and 59th Avenue. Responding Officers located a Chevrolet Tahoe being operated by Daniel Mendoza and a Chevrolet Malibu occupied by an adult female and adult male. The male suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was air lifted to USA Medical Center in Mobile Alabama. While Officers were conducting a crash investigation they observed Mendoza to be DUI. The resulting DUI investigation led to the arrest of Mendoza.

A warrant was obtained from Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner who set bond at $250,000 for Aggravated DUI. Mendoza was also charged with No Proof of Insurance, and No Driver’s License. Mendoza was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
